John Chon,

Founder, President & CEO

 

He has more than 25 years of experience specializing in executive benefits, compensation, insurance, and investments.  Mr. Chon is a co-founder of Red Gate Elite, a consulting firm advising high net worth individuals and corporations with tax efficient investment solutions utilizing insurance and other risk management solutions.  His present and former clients include numerous Fortune 100 Companies as well as large private companies in the United States.

 

His past experience includes serving as Vice President with Marsh McLennan, Vice President, Consulting at MullinTBG (a division of Prudential Financial Inc.), and Clark Consulting (acquired by Aegon NV & formerly a NYSE traded national executive benefits and insurance brokerage firm) .  In addition, he established an executive benefits practice at a regional financial services firm in the Silicon Valley as well as worked in a product development role for M Financial Group, one of the premiere financial services design and distribution company in the US.  Mr. Chon received his MBA from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University and received his BS in Physics at Univeristy of California at Irvine.  He currently resides in Los Angeles with his family.

Jimmy Donnelly,

Founder, Senior Executive 

 

Mr. Donnelly has 20 years of experience in fund management, investment banking and risk management.  He has advised some of the worlds largest insurance companies and asset managers on balance sheet risk management, structured retail products and variable annuity structuring.

 

Prior to co-founding RedGate Elite, Mr Donnelly was a founding partner of a UK FCA regulated asset manager and has held senior derivative roles with Deutsche Bank, Hong Kong, BNP Paribas and Fortis Bank in London.  Prior to this he with the investment management department in Ernst & Young advising asset managers and issuers on stock exchange listings. Mr Donnelly started his career with Davy Corporate Finance.  He has a BA (Hons), MA (Hons) and MBA (Hons) from University College Dublin.
